Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.  John 4:21-24 KJV

The Church – the Body of Christ – was in the heart and the mind of God from the foundation of the world. The world had never seen anything like it – it was a mystery known only by the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus talked about the Church, but, not until He died and rose again, was she revealed for all to see. This Church is not a mere organization, but it is a Kingdom – the Kingdom of God – that has no geographical boundaries, no cultural boundaries, no racial boundaries – no boundaries or limitations at all. The invitation to salvation is extended to every generation and every family, tribe and nation on the face of the earth.

Worship is the hallmark of the Church. That is what we do – we worship God and Him alone. We worship Him in spirit and in truth. We worship Him in every way possible! We don’t worship at a particular place, in a particular way with mere rituals or lip service – we can and should worship God from the heart anywhere, anytime. In the local church and wherever Christians gather, they worship God by singing, praying, preaching, giving and serving. An important mission of the local Church is to promote and sustain an atmosphere that is conducive to worship, prayer and praise. The Lord should always feel welcome in our midst.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.  1 Peter 2:9-10 KJV

We are a peculiar people – God’s own purchased, special people – a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy, dedicated nation. Set apart to show forth and publish His praise, virtues and excellence. We worship God personally because of what He has done for us and also for Who He is. At the same time, by our worship, we reflect the goodness and greatness of our God to the world He loves and died for.

For here we have no permanent city, but we are looking for the one which is to come. 15 Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.  Hebrews 13:14-15 AMP

In the Old Testament, the offering of animal sacrifices was usually a part of their worship of God, but in the New Covenant, the Church offers up to God a sacrifice of praise. We worship in Spirit and in truth by praising with heart and lips – thankfully acknowledging and confessing and glorifying His name. The spirit of worship, prayer and praise, is what brings revival, renewal and growth to the Church.

I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.  Romans 12:1 AMP

Another way we worship God is by presenting ourselves – spirit, soul and body – to God, as a living sacrifice. We worship God by refusing to allow sin to have its way in us and by dedicating ourselves to holiness and godliness with the help of the Holy Spirit. Our godly lives serve to worship and bring glory to God. This is our reasonable service – the very least we can do for such a wonderful Savior!

What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.  
1 Corinthians 14:15 NKJV

We worship God in Spirit, by the Holy Spirit, sincerely from our hearts. We worship God in Truth, according to, and conforming to, His precious word and His image. We worship with our mouth, in our earthly language, and in words we know and choose. We worship in the spirit, in tongues, in our heavenly language with words that come directly from the Spirit Himself. In the spirit, we can worship gloriously and with no reservations or limitations. The Holy Spirit worships our most wonderful, glorious, majestic, mighty, gracious Heavenly Father, through us, with words more fitting that mere human language could ever express! Thank God, that He gave us a way to truly express how much we love and appreciate Him and all He has done!
 
Who shall not reverence and glorify Your name, O Lord [giving You honor and praise in worship]? For You only are holy. All the nations shall come and pay homage and adoration to You, for Your just judgments (Your righteous sentences and deeds) have been made known and displayed.  Revelation 15:4 AMP

For all eternity, the Church, together with the angels and heavenly creatures, will worship and praise their God and King!

No limits Minister’s Conference 2010 was amazing! It increased my faith to believe God for property. My wife and I believed God would bless us with property for many months now and we’ve been denied by lenders and had no money in the bank. But now that our faith is increased, we believe God for a miracle! Our faith is lined up in agreement and we are standing on the Word of God that we are going to be taking the land which God has destined for us.

Dr. Phil Smithurst really impacted me when he was talking about the kingdom of God and eternity. It made me see things from a different perspective – to give my whole life to the Lord – no matter the cost. I could really feel and dwell on eternity when he spoke. It was so important when he talked about not exalting man, but exalting God, whether it was a bum or a president – not looking at the flesh (their titles or who they are), but looking at the heart of the people. That’s what being a true man of God is. It really helped my viewpoints and my focus on the

Pastor Maldanado came with a powerful word about a holy indignation. I saw how important it was for the church to have His power and His glory in it. The dominion of God in the churches is a mandate. Without it, they are lifeless and purposeless.

Pastor Andre, Ted Shuttlesworth and Pastor Rodney were all used by God in amazing ways. And I thank God for them and the opportunity to be a part of such a great move of God!

I have been serving in the outreach department at The River Church. It has been such a privilege to be a part of such a radical life changing ministry. This department is what runs the soul winning outreaches, Bible studies in the inner city and runs the bus ministry on Sunday morning. We do soul winning classes that train people within the local church to go out into a lost and dying world and give them the good news effectively by preaching the Word. Through that people have not only embraced the Lord as their Savior, but have been healed, delivered, and even baptized in the Holy Ghost.

People’s lives have been changed by God through an obedient soul winner who made an impact on someone’s life. In the Bible studies, they have held real revival meetings within the communities on a weekly basis. It has been awesome to see the Lord move within these communities and bring so much hope. People have been set free from poverty mentalities and have been brought to a new revelation of who they are in Christ. Then on Sunday morning they come on the buses to plug into church showered with God’s love.

I work in the children’s church and have been since school started. I am so amazed and in wondrous awe at how open the kids esp. the kids that come on the bus are towards Jesus and love and the Holy Spirit. We love on these kids and teach them the Word of God and when they saw those toys they were ecstatic! Some kids this is the only place where they are shown love. They come from broken homes with no fathers, our ministry is mainly to the children but the parents ARE ministered too by the awesome bus ministry. I thank God that I’m blessed to work with these kids and see their fruit. A lot of them don’t know Jesus but I have witnessed almost all of them come to the Lord and receive the Holy Spirit. They are very hungry for the things of God.

I have also done phone ministry and talking to the people who ride the bus is a joy. They are changing and their lives are. I see the Book of acts ministry being done in full swing at the Children’s Church. The kids were extremely happy to receive toys on Sunday as some come from very poor families in the projects and this may be their only toy for Christmas. We teach them the true meaning of Christmas, which does not include Santa Claus and Rudolph or the Christmas elves. Jesus is the reason for the season we teach under the watchful eye of Pastor Dawn, Pastor Adonica’s mother.

We always have an altar call every Sunday and last Sunday was no different. Over 100 kids came to the altar call and gave their lives to the Lord. This was awesome to see! Our praise and worship is an intimate experience for the kids and staff as well. The Holy Spirit falls on everyone.

Last Sunday at The River Church at Tampa Bay we took eight buses and three vans and picked up children and their families for church and a Christmas toy give away. It was an amazing experience to look into the eyes of people as they got on the bus. I had seen some of them only a few days earlier unsaved and without hope. As they got on the bus they were smiling and happy to be going to church.

It is wonderful beyond words to be joined with people of like precious faith full of love and the power of the Holy Spirit whose hearts are for the unsaved. I have been saved for twenty-seven years and have been involved in many aspects of lay ministry. Nothing I have ever done in ministry has been as fulfilling and exciting as bringing souls into the Kingdom.

Last Sunday we had the honor and privilege of ministering the Gospel and demonstrating the love of Jesus to hundreds of children and their families. We were able to impact their lives for eternity, because now they have Jesus in their heart and a place to go to church where they are taught the Word.

Nothing compares with the joy of seeing someone transformed right before my very eyes, because they are not only hearing the good news but they are also being touched by His love and power. I get to do this every week through The River Church soul winning ministry. We go out in teams to areas all over our community. We knock on doors, get on buses, and talk to people on the streets. We find that people are eager to hear about Jesus and make him Lord of their lives.

This past Sunday was not just another Sunday, but a special Sunday. The atmosphere outside and inside was charged. I have had the privilege to serve in the bus ministry for a while, and have seen a lot of change. Every Sunday the people are coming with expectation. You see their faces as they are leaving the bus to go into the sanctuary, they are shining. You can see that God is about to do something new and fresh in their lives. The people are grabbing a hold of the Word of God and applying it to their lives. We can see on Sunday mornings the expectation on their faces growing and growing. This past Sunday morning was special for me because I got to see the Spanish community going to another level. They are wanting to engage in what is going on at The River. I got to meet new families and shake their hands, and greet them. Some of the people were kind of shy and hesitant when they walked in but by the end of the service they were shining and their countenance was changed. Many went to the altar and gave their lives to Jesus. Even though they could not really understand the worship but I could see that they were worshipping still even with the language barrier. I look forward to what is ahead with the Spanish ministry and pray for even more souls and more lives to be changed. Not only for the Hispanic communities but for all of Tampa. Everything was organized like a military strategy, and flowed together. The love of God was seen and shown to every person that came not just the ones that came to receive the presents and food but for everyone else who was in the service. God is about to do a quick work with souls. And I feel I am in the right place at the right time to help reap this harvest. And I just want to say thank you to Pastors’ Rodney and Adonica for allowing me to help serve and ultimately impact eternity for Christ. Thank you.

I had never been to a camp meeting at The River at Tampa Bay Church before and it was a life changing experience.

I had really high expectations on this week out of what everyone else had told me and my expectations were truly met. Through this camp meeting I wanted God to show me things that He wanted me to accomplish and to show me things far greater than I have ever seen before and He answered my prayers starting the first service.

For a time I had been feeling uncertain and lost regarding my future and my calling. Where I am supposed to be and what God wants me to do. But as the week started I felt more and more confident and safe in what God has for me. Even if I don’t know every step of how my future will turn out I started feeling peace and hope about it. Everyday the same song came to me and the same sentence was trapped in my mind “I will be still and know You are God”.

This week God really opened my eyes again for my home country Sweden and for Europe. I felt a great need and a responsibility to actually set these parts of the world on fire for God. God showed my pictures of myself doing His work and made me realize that everything starts with me and that I am not sitting in these services for my own sake but for the world out there that is waiting for me to take actions. God made me realize that I have a greater calling than to sit behind a desk for the rest of my life. He has placed visions and dreams in me that can’t be fulfilled without me starting to take actions.

I got several amazing experiences with God this camp meeting and most of them started with me giving of myself. By serving almost every service this week I got to realize how much greater it is to give than to receive, but then realizing that by my giving and serving, I am receiving.

Now a few weeks after the winter camp meeting 2010 I have far greater visions and thoughts for my life and my future and I know that it will be nothing but extraordinary.

This past January we held a winter camp meeting at the river church in Tampa Fl. During this camp meeting I learned about reaping and sowing and about the healing power of God. I had the privilege of working in the RBI and RSW booth I was excited I thought it was just the coolest job to have to get to tell others about the school and what it has done for me. I thought that this was going to be the highlight of my camp meeting experience. However I was mistaken it was not just helping that I would get out of this meeting I would get to see miracles happen and hear about sowing seed and reaping seed. There was one day that I was sitting next to my friend and the power of god was so strong that she could even feel it and it was her first camp meeting. After the meeting that day she spent time telling me that she felt like God had told her to come to the school and if she gave God what he asked of her then he would provide a way for her to be able to come to the school. To see that kind faith in her eyes was so amazing it was like looking at a whole new person.

The day that stuck out the most to me was Friday night I was supposed to be in the children’s area as a guard when my friend relieved that it was my first night time camp meeting I had gone to all the day time meetings but none of the nights so far, so he made it so I could guard in side the camp meeting so that I would get to see what a night meeting was like. There was a guest speaker the speaker was talking about the healing power of God. I remember him doing an alter call for people who had a deaf ear I remember being a little skeptical like how is that going to help fix anything I was not sure that I truly believed that God could heal all the sick people no matter what the sickness was. I saw people with one deaf ear after deaf ear and as they came up out of there sets they began to flood the outer skirts of the stage. And that is when I felt the change that no matter what if we were faithful in the little things that he would be faithful in the litter but if we were faithful in all things then he would be faithful in all things. Seeing the people being heal was a life changing event I could only hope to one day have God us me so mightily .

All in all the winter camp meeting was a fire filled meeting we learn a lot as well as got to hear the pastors testimony and his words that God gave him to share. I have never been to a camp meeting and wanted to stay the whole time until I came to the winter camp meeting at RBI and RSW School.

As I watched Pastor Rodney, I felt overwhelmed by the love of God. I felt the deepest, purest love for Pastor Rodney, as though it was Gods love being poured out, through me, for Pastor Rodney. I heard the Lord say, This is my son, who blesses my heart, and in whom I am well pleased. The Lord spoke clearly and said that He has not finished His work through you and that an even more powerful anointing is about to be poured out over your life. The words, ‘you aint seen nothing yet’ rang loud in my spirit. Be blessed brother Rodney, you have so blessed our lives.
